However, a tetanus vaccine is advised if you are going to be in contact with nature.<\/p>\n<p>The Spanish authorities have the power to submit you to a physical examination to ensure that you are not suffering from any illness that requires quarantine under the International Health Regulations, but this is exceptionally rare.<\/p>\n<h3>Gripe A<\/h3>\n<p>The flu strand H1N1, Swine flu, or Gripe A as it is called in Spain, has affected Spain more than any other country in Europe, with the exception of the UK, in terms of casualties. However, the risk rate of contracting the disease is low, and for a healthy adult, fatality is even lower.
